Ah, I see. I ask because I'm actually getting deeper into pixel art myself, and I'm trying to gauge how long it takes, on average, to complete a piece of this scale, I'm considering making a webcomic using pixel art to emulate a more traditional style; since it's still mostly in the concept stage, I'm still working on the specifics.

There are 8 colours in this image, photoshop adds a transparency colour to your colours when you count with the tool.
I counted (with photoshop tools, this is completely correct)
1.White 2.black 3.grey 4.darkpurple 5.darkblue 6.darkbrown 7.lightbrown 8.yellow
You can save a colour without losing any quality by changing the eye to yellow (or black for an eerie look) instead of white.

You have the white in the eye that's only used once, the darker brown, and you actually have two different yellows, one of which is only used for single-pixel dots on he black creases. All three of these can probably be eliminated (make the white eye and spot yellow the more widespread yellow highlight, combine the browns. The brown change may require some slight cleanup afterward, but should go over quite well).
But seriously, this is a top-notch piece. I usually say something about needing refining but that doesn't apply here, this is a solid piece. Gives me a kinda Mega Man vibe from those buildings. One thing might be that the mid-ground is sort of ambiguous as to what it is, but it really doesn't matter, it's interesting to see and a strong showing. Great job.
