Apart from the Kikohama High Arc as well as The Shadows Arc, River Shibahara is Corina's ' best friend ' and is part of the reason her ultimate plan worked out so well.

One of the many students of Kikohama High, River was placed into the class due to her simply ' villainous ' quirk. River's quirk, Lilac, gave her the ability to create flowers from her body's cells. The flowers are able to release pheromones that can alter a person's emotions or mind making her be able to mind control people with her flowers.

With her mom moving to America to be with her boyfriend and leaving River with her neglectful aunt, River grew up bitter and angry at everything around her. Her coming to Kikohama High, a school for delinquents, only strengthened her growing hatred.

That's when she meets Corina.

Corina ends up catching wind of River's abilities and planned to manipulate her to help further her plans. Corina befriended River, the two of them becoming ' best friends '. River would supply Corina with the information she needed, using her brains to help further her projects on Nomus and using her mind manipulation to manipulate others into joining Corina's side. River is the true mastermind behind the ' Shadow Nomus ', a type of highly intelligent nomu that rely on Darkness Manipulation to blend into the shadows.

Maybe at some point, she agreed to help because of genuine malicious intent, but soon River began to doubt her bestie's intentions. It was when River corrupted the class of 3-A, making them fake their deaths, did River began to realize that Corina was going too far.

River tried to stop her but it was too late, by then Corina and The Ultimate Depravity unleashed the ' Shadow Nomus ' onto the world and the world was driven into chaos. River was only able to send out a warning message explaining the Shadow Nomus before she was caught by The Ultimate Depravity. River would forcibly be turned into a ' Hound ', brainwashed people forced to serve Corina. Corina would also use River to experiment on, causing her skin to become gray and giving her a lizard-like tail.

River, however, would end up lost from the other Hounds and knocked out, with the others believing she was dead. River would wake up, nearly buried alive but without her memories. Teaming up with the rest of the Freedom Fighters in order to stop Corina's reign of terror, River wants to repent for all that she has done by working to stop her.

Finally managed to get River done, one of the major players in the Kikohama High Arc and Corina's Mastermind. I always planned on someone like River, but I never got around to it until now.
