Real name being Mystery Bloodhart, Mystery is a Necromancer, a rare kind of magic user that can raise the dead.

Thanatos' Champion, Mystery is a Necromancer from the infamous Melanoche Bloodline. Through a series of unfortunate events, Thanatos decided that the only way she would be able to repay her ancestor's debt and thus lift her family's curse is to become his champion. Since then, Mystery works alongside Thanatos; guiding lost souls to the Underworld as well as tracking down anyone trying to outrun death's embrace.

Mystery is from the famous Necromancer bloodline belonging to Melanoche, a Necromancer infamous for his tale against Thanatos. Legends state that Melanoche desired power, so much so that he wanted to be on the level of the gods. To achieve this, he managed to do the impossible; capture Death itself. Melanoche would only let him go once he shared a part of his power, something he was forced to agree to. Thanatos, embarrassed and humiliated, would place a curse upon his family's bloodline.

Before Mystery could be born, however, there is the tale of Dolores Donaghue and the Garden Witch or ' White Bride ' Cecila Ashton. Cecilia Ashton was the lover of Weasley Ashton, a witch that sought to destroy humanity in order to pay the way for a world of only magic. To do this he wanted to make himself immortal, which could only be done if Cecila was to combine her soul with his. Cecelia would sacrifice herself for his plan, only for her soul to accidentally end up reincarnated into the body of a human; Dolores.

Ashton, knowing this, would attempt to seduce Dolores. Meanwhile, Cecilia would torment Dolores in her dreams, driving her to madness before she would be killed. However, this plan would backfire, as outrage was sparked from Dolories' death. Ashton was unable to gain her soul, and so the two women were reincarnated into a Necromancer; Mystery.

Mystery would be born to a Witch father and a human mother, with her mother being seduced by a possible Necromancer of the Melanoche bloodline. She would give birth to Mystery, who would be unaware of her magical abilities until it was her brother's birthday. Her Necromancy would materialize, causing her to reincarnate her brother's dead horse. Being from a community where the Brotherhood was common, her act of magic sparked outrage and she was captured. Mystery would nearly be killed if it wasn't for Puck, a half-Fae half Witch who would save Mystery.
