this is the cover for a project i have been spending the better part of 30 years on. the art work is from Rio Villegas from the cebu sun star on DA he is known as Sagellivoir, the story depecits a multi national crew with filipinos promenetly featured as lead characters.the reason for this was to give my children a hero of their own culture to look up too.

you read the entire book in 11 hours ? wow thats amazing i wrote all 9 books and it still takes me a day to read each one.
As for the other 8 books they're written yes, but i'm not ready to share them all yet.

The only things i thought about after reading the series.
Hes giving the enemy too much time to prepare for him. And maybe the queen will birth another queen.
and second once he does defeat the T-Challa, the X'ena are probably going to become the greatest galactic enemy. Because they cant or wont find the Eutopia they are so desperatly looking for, and will decide to create it by force.
Oh did the Paladin crew learn the reinforcement/rebuilding science and techniques while on X'enas' homeworld?

The T-Challa would take months to know what happened on earth (we learn how in chapter 8) so preparing for him would have been pretty hard to do, as Paladin is faster then anything they have.

Later that day Jackson enters Caleb quarters asking, "Caleb are you sure you want to give them the blue prints on this ship?" These bureaucrats get this kind of powerβ¦ I donβt know what would happen.
Caleb replies, "No, I am not giving them everything. The power supply is more in line with the T-Challaβs, but about seventy percent stronger, and it is no way as strong as Paladinβs power core, and I put a few other surprises in the design just in case."

Around the end of the story it is said that after the destruction of the fleet. that was invading earth. They may have gained anywhere from 1 to 10 years breathing room. Hopefully thats not true because thats Waaayy to long to not know what the enemy is doing!

Actually book 2 takes place 2 years after and ill be happy to send you the first chapter its only 11 pages. the Series is Called the Little Flower Chronicles and in chapter 6 you learn of her life span so the book series encompasses a massive time frame. The Little Flower is the only character to appear in all nine books.
My Wife read the first chapter and cried. Now i doubt it will achieve the same emotional response from you, but the second book is called Lost Hero's.
My hope is some stuck up literay agent will get his head out of their asses and see what i wrote. till then i just show what i got to select people

I like this cover. Its a good start for your first comic and I think the story from the way you explained it has potential. I love the fact that you have all the different faces in the cover. It shows that their all going to be apart of the story yet leaves you still wondering what roles they play. And with your main holding the little girl it shows compassion which gives cause to show that theres alot in this story that will keep getting interisting(sp).
I also like the spaceship in the background and the alian ones over the city. Shows the conflict and makes you wonder whats going to happen. What forces are going on? Whos the good or the bad? Really nice work. And I do like the detailing on the Paladin ship.

well 30 years on the project getting done is a long way away. lol i keep doing more to it. i meet edward olmos battlestar galactica fame once he is a very nice person. i told him about my book , he gave me the best advice. polish it until you cant polish it any more then polish it anyways. that means keep working on it till your fingers bleed. in 30 years my fingers are nubs

That sounds crazy. I'm five years into my thing. Just getting the story down and out is tough. Guess I can look forward to more revisions, nubby fingers, and hopefully some good times, too. Thanks for inspiring me.

This looks like a good sci-fi tale. Can you provide a brief synopsis?
If I had to guess by the cover I'm assuming its humanity aboard a generational ship fleeing after aliens have conquered?
Besides the human element (it looks to be a character-rich driven story) what is the 'conflict'? Aliens in constant pursuit? FTL (Faster-then-light travel and reaching a different star system after a story arc with the emphasis on getting supplies or combating harsh environments?

The story is a 30 year project of mine, as of the last 5 years Iβve decided to change the characters to represent my soon to be born childrenβs heritage (My Wives pregnant finally)So I have a multi racial cast of characters. This is book 1 of 9 books.
The Story takes place in 2079. (I started writing this in 1979) Aliens (T-Challa) discover and attack the earth. As they need its people and resources to maintain their empire. Another group of aliens (Xβenaβs) decide to help the earth by sending a device that will help them against the Alien T-Challa attack.
The gift they send transforms and old WW2 battleship (Paladin), and one man an American Filipino (Caleb), into a force to take on these attacker. They succeed to defeat the initial force, but the cost is great The American Filipino leader Caleb is dying, and unless they get the ship back to the good aliens Xβenaβs, and fix what went wrong before he dies they lose all hop[e of saving the earth. So he and his crew head off to find Xβenaβs the good aliens.
The result is one ship against an armada of hostile T-Challa aliens fighting their way to find the Xβenaβs before Caleb and the ship Die.
