Description So the outfit

It was from my 6th birthday party, and was an outfit I wore constantly until I finally grew fully out of it when I was 10. The shirt was biggish on me so it lasted the longest, I wore the earrings until every gem fell out XD

The earrings are crystals I got from my great aunt Margaret because she thought (like everyone in my family) because my name was crystal, I would find it cute and funny to be given a me. she was forgiven because I was little and loved rainbows at the time

The rainbow shirt was a gift from my grandma, who figured out for the first time I preferred to dress Sam (my brother) up in dresses than I did wearing them myself. All girls like rainbows right? IT WAS SO FLUFFY THOUGH OMG I love it so much, but when I was 10 it was getting to small and my brothers cat pee'd on it ruining it.

The skirt wasa gift from my sister Jamie, she had actually made it in one of her high school classes, it was so frilly and full of life. It meant alot to me that I got to be a model for her.

My hair is basically a bob, but pulled back in a side ponytail (my favorite next to two braids) because it was only a year after Sam and I had tho whole 'cut eachothers hair' phase. YOU ALL KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT K

I also have a plastic bow clip in my hair, my mom was obsessed in putting them on me along with butterfly ones.

The tie, as you all may know I am fond of ties. My dad worked on air conditioning ducts and for a nuclear power plant fixing things and such. Lennox I believe was the company he worked for? Had this amazing van filled with all this stuff that kids shouldnt play with or they might get hurt... But we did anyways under his supervision. Like Wood putty, he would give us that to keep is distracted for hours <3 BACK ON TRACK

My dad had to wear a suit once a year for a meet with his bosses, other than that he never wore ties, not even to church. So I would steal them, make him tie them on me, his long ones would go past my knees, it was so much fun <3

AND MY MAGICAL BOOTS OF RAIN

yes these purple with white polka dot boots served me well. I was the tom boyish girl, I climbed trees played in the mud, could beat the guys at everything but video games (unless fighting game cause I was a kick butt button smasher)

My mom quickly got tired of cleaning my girly little shoes with lace and frillies so she bought me these (purple being her favorite color, I was in an orange faze I think?) boots so I could slide them over my normal shoes to keep them safe.

They treated me so well.

My favorite thing in the whole world back then was rain. I am still very fond of it. I would always go out and hide from everyone in one of our many trees that lined our fenced in yard. Sam and I had built tunnels in the trees only big enough for us.

There was one point that gave me access to our old Victorian houses roof, a part hidden by trees to the untrained eyed. It was a plat part, used to be a massive chimney there long ago, but my dad had taken it out long before meeting my mom and it was just a odd area in the living room, we liked to hang our bouncers (little kid bouncers ya know) there. Ours was a duck, he was sams but I stole him often.

Anyways, I would hang out and sing and dance in the rain on the roof, just to be happy and alone. Away from my older siblings, away from family. It was nice until they had to chop down the tree for it getting to close to the phone lines when I was 7, lost my happy place.

Then it became a hang out for my older siblings to smoke and do things because it was flat, and even with my big tree gone still rather hidden by the others. They would even jump off the roof, it wasnt very high but I remember them telling sam and I to never do it because we would die. Then I got pushed off (they were being mean) and they caught me, but bam fear of heights from then on.

AND NO GLASSES I didnt know I needed them until I was like 9, then I didnt want to wear them until like middle school?

All this from watching some home movies to try and remember my style and the things I wore when I was little, how I acted just so I could draw my fursona as a kid for Hex XD ENJOY!

When a male cat marks your shirt, the smell will never come out.

Keaton, somehow, reading about you reminiscing about your childhood struck a string in my heart, even though I probably share an obscenely small amount of similar memories. Ah... Nostalgia hurts so good. I occasionally watch home videos(On VHS!) when my entire immediate family is around(Which sadly, doesn't happen too often anymore,) and they have me laughing, crying-though I don't like to admit it-, rolling my eyes, rolling on the ground... I guess what I mean to say, is thank you for reminding me how valuable my family, memories, and childhood are to me. Seeing this brightened my day a whole lot.

Oh, and you're also officially the most adorable child in the world.

Im so glad to be able to give that to you, its important to hold onto <3

Most of my family from my childhood has passed away, even one of my sisters are battling cancer now.

Even if you cant be with them now, at least you can remember they were there for you then

The fact that so many people gave you so many different pieces of clothing that you felt were special is absolutely adorable. Memories like that are great to hold on to.

For some reason, clothes tend to be much more meaningful than any toy or such <3
