Hamu at first glance eats her feelings, but really she is a very compassionate creature. She was never one to go out and pick a fight or had aspirations to make the most kills. She preferred to learn from others and cubsit. That doesnt mean in her youth she didnt pull her weight and bring home meals or protect the borders, but her heart lies with the calmer sides of the pride where she can contribute most. Knowledge and wisdom is often overlooked by the youth, but if they are anything like her the wisdom passed down will become important with age. Shes trusting of her pride, and very protective. A calm soul but very playful!
She is compassionate in all things, even when taking a life. She believe in quick and painless not stemmed from any religious beliefs since she has none, but because she prefers to be kinder in all ways. Often these kinds of actions from her seems overly emotional, but realistically is her emotions didnt drive her... Then who would she be?
When Hamu says something, makes a commitment, its very difficult to change her mind. This can be seen as overly adamant in some ways, but it stands she can be trusted.
The pride has given her support her whole life and Hamu will do all she can to continue such an important part to any life. However like all things there is only so much support that can be reasonably be given and when that boundry is pushed Hamu will be the first to speak out and state the errors. Of course she will do it with passion and consideration but she will state her piece and not often budge from her stance.
History: Hamu was born, raised, and will die with her pride. From the day she opened her eyes her pride has always been there for her and taken care of her. In return she has tried her best to care for them back. When she came of age she was pushed to hunt. They learned she was a good enough hunter especially at smaller prey, but her heart was not in it and it showed very clearly. So in an attempt to find her place they moved her to border patrol. Within months she proved she was not fit to protect the border from intruders, her compassion made it hard for her to not attempt to help rogues who needed aid. Finally she was placed with cub care, a job she bloomed in. She enjoyed teaching the cubs, caring for them, even cleaning their dirty selves. In times when wombs are bare she will lend a paw in hunting but her greatest passions has always been the youth. She herself had never produced cubs or found true love. Her greatest love was the cubs. In fact she has never gone out in search of finding a significant other. She is happy just to play the role of caretaker to others.
