Pecos thoroughly enjoying his second bath. He loved having his head and face sprayed - as you can see, he was even trying to drink the water. If I would raise or lower the hose, he'd move his head to follow it. He is by far the strangest horse I know - and the ONLY one I know that likes water being sprayed on his face. Something tells me that when we start trail riding him, he's going to be the horse that refuses to get out of the water.

i used to ride a horse that would stand to be bathed .. but was scared of water .. and who loved to drink from the hose (with it almost in his mouth) but wouldn't let you get any water on his face .. he was also scared of feet .. and phones ..

I know a horse named Kapris who hates being sprayed in the face but she loves to drink the water straight from the hose...she's silly.

ooh yes. so stupid its cute. i definatly love how tightly closed his eyes are. lets just hope on trai lrides he doesnt try to go underwater and swim with you.

I'm actually a little surprised he did so well - last time he didn't like it at all. It wasn't the water that bothered him, but the hose dragging. He spooked pretty good a few times, but by the end of that lesson (about 15 minutes) he was standing well. When Bonnie sprayed his head the first time, he reared, so I was very cautious about it this time - he's the one who stuck his head in the water.
It took him about 5 mintues to completely settle down today and enjoy it - he's so smart.
