Description I decided sense I am going to be doing more pages, (and already have one in the making -thumbs up-) That I should do take a small break and practice drawing Agabeth again I haven't drawn her in a bit and she needed some practice.

It looks like we walked in on her doing something rather witchy. Looks like some ritual (hence the title), on hey those a Mer skulls aren't they!!

And to those that know my comic, there are a lot of naked people this image being no exception. Under all that black and white paint she is very much naked. Tee hee..
Oddly she doesn't seem too mad about us walking in on her.. Maybe she expected it?

Agabeth belongs to me

I'm not much of a person to enjoy horror/scary scenes--oddly enough its for a very sensible reason. I like horror, because it effectively does as it intends to, creates a sinking feeling in your chest until it distorts into dismay, then despair. When on art how ever, when I see it, and I get a sinking feeling, like right now--I feel compelled to leave the page, not to say your art was bad or anything.

Actually, this leads up to my point, I'm not exactly a fan of what you drew here, however I cannot deny that this MARVELOUS and that I love the colors you used and the lighting from the candles & demonic glyph under Agabeth just help the picture come together a set the correct mood. This is a great piece.

I don't draw this kind of thing often, and I agree with you on most of what you just said. Often times when I find a picture like this I just skim past it or change the page because it causes that sinking feeling. Even if the art is great sometimes it just doesn't feel right in another aspect.
I was trying quite a few new things out on this page, the lighting for one thing, having multiple lighting sources that are different colors and heights was the most challenging really.
Thank you so much for such a well written comment by the way! This was a really nice thing to have waiting in my inbox when i got home. I don't do this kind of complex stuff often (really should though) This piece alone took me 3 days to complete. So thank you for making that work worthwhile, it is good to know how people really feel about the picture instead of a simple "Pretty!" or "I like this a lot" which really aren't that satisfying to get if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean, although I take everything I can get, and reply to almost every comment (which won't be possible if I get popular).

And I fully agree, I don't expect to get a great detailed comment on everyone of my submissions and more so on sketch dumps, but when you pour your heart and hours of your time into a drawing, you hope to get more views, more faves, more comments, but above all something more than you could never get with an inferior quality submission: Someone else's time. The time they spent to tell you their thoughts on YOUR art.

It just makes you feel like pumping out another master piece, does it?
