History:

Marigold was born into royalty in a prestigious family known in part for their delicate women. Being the middle child of three daughters, normally she’d be seen as just another dainty lady for the bloodline to continue. But her abilities changed all that, she complimented her cousin perfectly, a rare occurrence and one that was taken as a sign. The two were destined for greatness as far as their family was concerned.

From that point on all Marigold’s days were spent in luxury with her cousin, the two being inseparable. Held to the highest standards they were sculpted into the image of perfection, one that her avid curiosity and intellect simply didn’t fit. It was stifled and she lived together in a specially constructed manor growing up pampered, spoiled, and ignorant to the world outside.

That was until the duo became curious about what lay past the walls. Or more specifically Marigold's courosity. Finding herself terribly bored with the shallow life of the upper class, she turned to the world outside for something new. That’s when she found a wealth of knowledge, and a new reality that was more than just etiquette and appearances.

Wanting to see this new way of life for herself, Marigold encouraged her cousin’s sudden passion for charity and developed the idea for the Manor. A place where the two could reach out to the common folk and elevate those who wanted into the higher rungs of society. With this project they could unite the classes through sponsoring businesses, teach etiquette to the common people, and run charities for those in need… and Marigold would have an excuse to explore and become familiar with a forbidden side of life. It was the perfect idea. Or so she thought.

Her family however had a different opinion. As in they thought it was horrendous and quite frankly awful. There were a lot of shocked gasps and raised eyebrows at that family meeting let me tell ya. Hoping this was just some ‘phase’ they were given a large sum of riches and shipped off to the tiny dust ridden country of Giat. Where their family hopes they’ll grow tired of this rebellious ‘charitable’ nonsense.

Internal Ability I: Using her control over the light surrounding her, Marigold can make her-self literally glow, with blinding radiance or to make herself seem more… sparkly. Eyes, hair, lips, can be dazzling in just seconds with this ability!

External Ability I: By altering the refraction of light around herself, she is able to create “certain” effects or small images. Such as creating a rainbow from her palm or making it seem as though the sun is shining behind her. This is usually used for dramatic entrances. And on occasion to set food she dislikes aflame.
