Personality: Coldly polite and mannerly but not actually pleasant.
Pitiless and unscrupulous.
Charismatic, observant, a born leader.
Goes by his own sense of "honour" and believes his way is the only valid way.
Has no problems with using other people to further his goals and cares little about his team mates.
Only accepts orders from the Emperor whom he fears although he doesn't show it.
Staunchly monogamous.
Family: Parents unknown (deceased?), Izekondi (younger brother), Anor (sister-in-law),Veliniffa (life partner but they're not married), Damak (son), Seiger (nephew), Vanadiane (niece)
Story: Like Izekondi [link] , Unai is a foundling and was taken in by monks who found the brothers dying from hunger at the borders of Shatterland.
Unlike his brother, Unai accepted authority only begrudgingly and hated being given orders or owing anything to anyone. He was much less disciplined but still superiorly skilled and could master his own powers at the same level. Unai liked his brother but he felt extremely jealous of Izekondi's success and soon tried to one-up him, although Izekondi wasn't actually aware of this. The monks ended up deeming Unai of lesser worth than his brother due to his attitude and his inability to use psychic powers. Furious, Unai challenged his masters and killed most of them along with many students who came to help. He took on Izekondi and Baxem [link] but was defeated and lost his right eye.
In the aftermath, Unai fled and wandered Shatterland for a long time and survived by stealing and ransoming travellers. He had numerous run-ins with the Soces and the Underdwellers.
He entered Jaoz's [link] service unknowingly upon being taken in by Wen, one of the 5 Whites, after the latter witnessed his prowesses at warding off a whole party of powered Soces.
Upon entering Asseton, met Veliniffa [link] and both grew close pretty quickly. He was trained under the harsh rule of the 5 Whites and got noticed by the Emperor himself who offered him to head his personal elite squad.
Aside from Veliniffa, Unai only feels respect for the Emperor, Wen and Naehu [link] He has little concern for anybody else.
Powers: Unai controls electricity, thunder and light. Unlike many energy users, he doesn't need to refuel himself and can use his powers until he drops from fatigue. He mostly uses his powers as "lightning blades" that can cut through almost any matter.
Superhuman speed and endurance but regular strength.
With his powers over light, he can actually store the natural electricity of his surroundings and produce a "body spark", a blast of bright light that causes permanent blindness if not averted. He is able to dispel darkness of any kind, even magical.
Weapons: None. Good level of training at swordsmanship.
Weaknesses and annoying traits:
Unai is actually driven by ambition. He has some schemes of his own but no one knows about them except Veliniffa.
Since Izekondi gouged his right eye, Unai profoundly hates his brother and often grits his teeth at the mere mention of his name. He also despises his best friend, Baxem, and his wife, Anor [link] .
He smokes and often deliberately blows in the face of people he dislikes or who try to prevent him from smoking.
He suffers from an incurable degenerative disease that will eventually kill him and he knows it. He occasionally coughs out blood but doesn't let anyone call him out on it and keeps it hidden from most people. Hence, Unai believes he has little left to loose and behaves accordingly. Izekondi doesn't know of his disease.

I actually tried to make him and Izekondi somewhat similar, like counterparts to each other. Hope it doesn't sound TOO much alike.
