WOO! Here it is! The dog lovers christmas! I love Crufts, and I'd so ADORE to go one day, but everytime I come close, my chance is cruely ripped away. Not to show, of course (my dogs are too deformed and doss to do that) but just to enjoy the sheer doggy-ness of it.(If you haven't been able to tell by now, I'm an extreme dog lover)
So while watching the Gun Dog showing on the Beeb, I scribbled up this. HOW MESSY. But this is how I draw when I'm not concentrating. It's more shapely.
The Flat Coated Retriever went through, but I'm still waiting for pastrol, maybe a sheltie will win one day.
Finally, while watching, I heard one of the commentators say; 'And this is the back end of the pointer'. How classic is that?

I've been three times (only once with a dog though), and the sheer size never fails to astound me, as well as the insanity, and the number of stalls, and just HOW MANY DOGS THERE ARE!!
I think it's a shame the beeb aren't showing it any more, they did excellent coverage, coverage just seems rushed and annoying these days. I watch it for the dogs, not the irritating presenters who seem to know nothing. If you're going to get people to cover Crufts, get people who have heard of some of the breeds...

That malamute looked exhausted, it was gorgeous tho. I went for the day, the NEC is only bout an hour away from me on train. Crufts is excellent for shopping and freebies! You can buy everything and anything for your pooch there

I went to crufts last fri to see the bouviers. But I do have a soft spot for the mastiffs, big slobbery softies.
Well done to the Tibetan Terrier for winning best in show. (I personally wanted the bloodhound to win.. bleh)

You are so incredibly lucky! How long did you stay for? just the one day? But I think the Tibetan looked lovely, though i was still rooting for the Alaskan Malamute...
