Sooooo... I finally got around to finishing this! It took... quite a long time. So. Basically, this is my rendition of 'Le Muerte', which means Death. This figure is kinda like the grim reaper, only way different.
I'd go into detail about this figure, but I'm tired and I need to go to bed or rest. lol But the concept was the Lady of Holy Death guiding souls. Here she's leaning into a soul, observing it as she passes through.
Critiques and thoughts are VERY welcome! So let me know what you think!
PS: Yes, this came from the Book of Life character Le Muerte. Which I am still going to finish up drawing. (I have another picture in mind for her as well.)
I need to begin drawing for my portfolio for my school application, so I'm trying to get some original pieces in it.

I love this drawing very much.
Most of all I like the amount of colours in it - it Looks very friendy even though ist subject is death.
I also like the applications like the roses and the drawings on her face.

Yes, I wanted her to seem gentle and friendly so I tried to keep that mood going around in the picture. Death doesn't always have to seem daunting and dark.
