It's well over a century since the unCivil War, it's well out of living memory so people can look at it evenly, so there's no need to refight it. Β Unfortunately our civil war still has an influence on our politics many politicians have family links to one side or the other e.g. Liam Cosgrave whose dad actually led the govt. during the Civil War & had people shot, Liam Mulcahy whose father was a general, one justice minister is descended from another civil war minister whose son fought on the rebel side and got shot up in the Dublin mountains.
