Thx - The expense of building this thing myself was probably under $10... [Of course the materials were more than that, but I had lots of left overs that I turned into other stuff]...

Sure - np...

The base is 1/8" particle board with a piece of 1/2" carved foam board on top, and coated in sand and rocks to add weight... the clear stem is from a piece of mini blind rod [ the part you twist to make the blinds move.

The Monolith is made of 1/2" foam board [the pink stuff you can find at any hardware store] with 1/8" foam core glued to the outside to add the details in layers...

The door symbol is green stuff and a regular skeleton head from some undead figure I had laying around....

The center crystals/ main weapon is more of the mini blind rod carved down to make a cluster of crystals...

The corner Gauss guns are made from plastic marbles [hungry hungry hippo's] and the buttons from a striped down phone...

The rear skull is made of carved putty...

I always use wood glue when working with foam to avoid the foam melting... its strong... cheep... and most importantly, doesn't eat foam...
