It's mostly the tools. And a bit about knowing how to use them.
This was DAZ Studio, UverEnvironment Lights and whatever is in the scene.

I figured it was either the lights or the human shader. Those seem to be the most common elements of the really great ones. Unfortunately I don't have either one.

I just tries it, and DAZ Studio 3.0 comes with UberEnvironment 2 in the free version.

Browsing all three of the images for this lady, I have to say, the first thing I notice is that looks... well... fierce. The 16-17 hours really paid off, the result is stunning. I'd hate to be the one that ticked her off.
