I disagree.
If you have truly good relationships,
or if you just happen to see a piece of writing that really speaks to you,
well,
those are both wonderful reminders <3
And sometimes, a change is needed,
you must remake yourself, to grow and evolve.
Forget what you were before, so you can move on. :3

you never change who you are. sure, you can grow as a person. but who you ARE as a person, your very essence, does not change. and having "good relationships" and seeing writing that "speaks to you" has nothing to do with the stamp.
the message of the saying is that you should never be distracted from what's essentially important to you, and who you are, what you want in life, and who you want to be. no one WILL remind you. the only person who can understand you best is yourself. only you know how you think.

Your stamp claims that "no one can remind you."
Those examples were there to refute that. If you have someone who knows you well, and if your thoughts parallel something you see, then that helps you define yourself. (Heck, we read things written down thousands of years ago that still ring true!)
That everyone is a highly unique, special "snowflake" is partially an illusion, and a narcissistic one at that. We have much, much in common with each other. Westerners (of which I am one) have a hard time coming to grips with this idea, as well as the idea of plasticity of personality, as you just demonstrated. "your very essence" does change: you aren't the same impulsive teenager you were, at age 30, to give a rough example. You don't even act exactly the same depending on what person/circle of friends/peers/family you talk to. In some cases, body language, pronunciation and word usage can swing widely, without the speaker even realizing it.
"only you know how you think"
Then why do people turn to therapists? Why do psycologists offer us insight and perspectives that truly help?

no, it's because i'm seriously getting bored of this. if you have a problem with the stamp's message, how about you complain about it to your mom and focus on your own art instead of criticizing mine? the only reason you posted that comment was to get a debate going, and i'm honestly not going to waste my time. i found it humorous how much you were writing to defend your side, so i responded shortly and sweetly. and honey, please. eyeroll? clearly you're twelve.

Never forget who you are, because one day, you may need to reference back...
Nice work ^^
