When I was playing DC Online I built a character who looked similar to this.

I thought of a genderless creature, which kind was in our world just to watch those who might be forgotten someday. Like silent angels, just observing murders and other crimes. The "Witnesses" never forget and they never interfere, who ever might be wronged.
Once they do, they lose their abilities like flying or reading minds, ect ...

That's what happened to my witness.
As it watched a young woman who was about to be robbed and worse, it was seen by the robber. He fled, and it fell from grace not being able to fly away ...

Originally I imagined them with black wings and a staff .. I should draw it like this next time ...
