The sinister bio-mechanical nemesis in the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons, so named for its charming habit of pinning people on its own spikes and others in the environment, like shrike birds.

Next entry in my exercises in prompt-tweaking to prod Stable Diffusion into producing fan-art for completely to mildly obscure characters that probably don't have enough of it floating around for their names to mean anything to the Stable Diffusion model. So no relying on existing depictions of the Shrike, it must all come through the textual description and ferreting out what /other/ sets of images the model might have gained useful training from. Fun times.

This one came out a bit feminine I guess, but oh well. When you're a space-time bending entity of unstoppable destruction you can probably appear as you dang well please.
