Description

A new enemy has appeared! Here's what we know.

Fig. 1 - Female cultist - Females were the first type of cultist to appear and seem to be the most common. They will always wear a hood and a gold choker necklace - possibly religious garments. The 'cross' scars seen on the shoulder are found on every cultist and appear to be self-inflicted. These are believed to indicate either number of kills or rank among the group - though this is still unconfirmed.

Fig. 2 - Bust of a cultist - The creatures seem to have sharp, predator-like teeth with terrible tempers to match. Though intelligent, the cultists seem to be quick to violence and are guided by emotion and instinct rather than logic (at least in battle). They also have elf-like ears and a keen sense of smell, though their abilities have yet to be fully discovered.

Fig. 3 - Male cultist - Similar to the female cultist, the male cultist exhibits scars on their shoulders and, also like the female cultist, never seems to hide them under clothing. They can be distinguished from the female by their build and lack of hood. They will also always be seem with some sort of purple cloth somewhere on their person, though it is unknown as to why at this time.

Fig. 4 - Mark of a cultist - Every cultist discovered so far has had this mark on their forehead (as shown in Fig. 2). It appears to be the religious symbol of the cultists for the Goddess Cerintes - though it is still unknown how the mark is inflicted.

Additional notes:

- How the 'fingers' on the 'hands' of the creatures work remains a mystery. It is speculated that the cultists have some sort of telekinetic ability to control the phantom limbs. They are able to use the 'fingers' as a projectile up to 100m away at high speeds before they return to their resting position on their 'hands.'

- It's thought that the creatures, never seen before, have been created after the recent demise of the Blood Goddess Cerintes. Their numbers are only growing since their discovery, but no children or younglings have been seen in any of their nesting areas.
