Woah, what an impressive photomorph! Your skin layer edits look seamlessly integrated onto the original source. I imagine this must have taken you quite a bit of time! I think the most impressive morph is the top of the lip and the tip of the nose, as you can still clearly see it's the cosplayer's features, yet they are given a distinctively anthropomorphic appearance. And good idea to leave the eyes almost unchanged but for maybe a few lighting touchups, as they are absolutely beautiful already. I wish more movies used CGI this convincing!
If I have one major criticism it is probably the cat ears, as they seem a bit tacked on since I don't see much change in the hair strands as one would expect from such a transformation. Looks like you did tinker with the lighting on the hair highlights to account for the ears, so that's a good start, just maybe needs a little bit more to sell the effect.
Also, the tail isn't obvious at first on account of its darker fur pattern against a dark backdrop, but it's a nice touch all the same. About how long do you think the tail would be in this instance? In the cartoon episode, it looked to be at least three feet long, but it looks considerably shorter here since she's sitting down and it's only barely visible from the side. Guess that probably has a lot to do with the photo source of the cat. Did you consider using any other cat sources besides the bengal kitten?
One suggestion would be to play with the background a little. The original worked well for the context since the idea was that April was being held captive in a warehouse or something par for the course like that. Maybe setting this edit in something like a scientific lab would support the new narrative that she's been experimented upon. Did you have the idea that April has been recently mutated after being captured or that she has been a cat-woman for some time and simply stumbled into a trap, like what happened in the cartoon episode where she snuck into Shredder's warehouse to reverse her mutation and got caught anyway?
I remember Lindze Ala Mode's April cosplay from a few years back, and I've always thought she created one of the most accurate interpretations of Classic Toon April ever. She also demonstrated a authenticity in her facial impressions and careful staging of the original photoshoot. Even in your edit, her original appeal still shines through, which is what makes the image all the better. I hope you showed her the final product, and did she give you any feedback?

Thanks for being so receptive to my critique! Β I hope Lindze gets some amusement out of it too.
I never would have noticed the lack of shadow for the tail. Β Man, as an amateur fan-artist, I hate when I forget the little things! Β Even looking at it now, the folds in the texture of that tarp seem to create the appearance of a shadow at about the angle her tail would be. Β I suppose adding a true tail shadow would also make a statement as to the length of the tail and what kind of contortion it might be in.
Any thoughts on my suggestion about the background environment?

Yeah I considered it when picking the stock photo initially, but given the progress of the implied transformation, it makes more sense that she's been captured after her change.

Thanks! Did you get my message about joining discord? You should definitely check it out, there's a good mix of animal TF morphers as well as Pinnochia/Nose morphers there and you'd fit right in.

I did, thanks very much! Β I tried to go to the website on my phone but it looks like I need to register an account? Β Unfortunately my online time is very limited so I don't have time to do chat sessions, but I'd still like to communicate and share ideas.
