Not explicitly. While the setting probably has its religions, that cross is just one of the two main symbols for the kingdom of Agatha (the other being a passant lion).Β

Cool piece btw, just upvoted and faved. Really love Chivalry but I can't stand playing it on this computer, even with the lowest settings it is sometimes a pain in the ass. Also, in the Alfa Legion group (you know, Alfabusa's fanbase) there's gonna be a Chivalry event this weekend if you want to drop by steamcommunity.com/groups/TheA⦠(I wasn't payed by anyone for this, I swear 
Lastly, have you ever played Severance: Blade of Darkness? I think that game would give you some neat ideas for armor and character designs, as well as scenarios.

I haven't seen any concept art for Malric, but I am sure it is out there.
While I would be interested in playing with Alfa Legion (and destroying them utterly), that event happens to be exactly when I will be facing execution by calculus exam.
And no, I haven't, but I have heard good things about it. It has a cult following apparently, and there are mods to bring it up to 'today's standard,' graphically. So I will check it out at some point, for sure.

I was actually trying to say if there was any kind of official design or in-game model for the character, but I kinda fucked up my sentence I think.

Haven't seen those mods yet but I've installed one that supposedly enhances the light and makes you hide in the dark or something, along with some patches and shit. Didn't really care about any other graphical enhancement, but I think I'll look through ModDB soon enough.
I actually have all of the installation files in my Dropbox if you want to give it a go, I'll just need to write some kind of readme for the installation order and shit, something I'll do tomorrow afternoon (almost 3am over here right now).
