Beautiful composition and kind of a mix of real and surreal landscape.

first of all i love the background colour on thiz & the almost completely incidental creation of theze trees, they look lyk simple smudges with a paintbrush made & parts of it were allowed 2 run,bt it still shows so much depth & creativity 2 decide 2 use watevr technique u used 2 get it that perfect,to get that actual tree lyk look & that illusion of an actual forest,a real seeming environment, which could simply b walkd into,i jst adore this. Do keep up ur xcellent work!

I used to have dreams of a forest/swamp that looked just like this from above. That's a bit creepy, bro.

Beautiful. The color blending is done so nicely. You can really see it well on full view

Very beautiful! They really do look like little trees, I am glad you have such a big image in the FV. I like seeing all the subtleties!

beautiful. i love the way it seems like it's melting into the background, but also dissipating into it. it's like when there's a bad fog and things around you seem to disappear and reappear. it's very peaceful and the way you've done it, is really creative. i like things that aren't glued to the side of the paper, as it were. so many people feel like there's a lot of room so whatever you do much cover all of the page or at least touching the sides. you know?

thanks, yes, I myself suffer the horror vacui disease quite a bit, I'm glad I could draw back in time on this one..
just a few minutes work really, sometimes it's hard to accept that, I felt the urge of working out the possible faces
in the shapes, but I managed to fight that urge...this time

hahah! i've so got that, too. i think it's a common ailment. take a sketch book and fill it only with things that take up a little bit of the paper and then do it every day. perhaps someday you will master the skill of minimalism! but no, i totally know what you mean! and i ruin so many pieces thinking that they're not quite finished or that they need a little change here or there would make it jusssstttt perfect, but instead i ruin it! i often find myself thickening lines, to get them just so, and the next thing the lines are about 6 inches wide. lol! whenever i find myself doing it, is to repeat a mantra that sounds kind of like, thin lines good, thick lines baaaaad. hahha

normally I'm hellbend for barock, and all for filling the paper as much as possible, but yes sometimes it's good to hold back. It very much depends on the style I guess. what you descibe about messing things up by changing it here & there, till it's ruined, I often have a drawing, I myself don't concider very good, & I like to cover that up by filling it up with much ornament & structure, 'till everyone thinks whaaaw, that's nice & detailled, cheap trick, I know, but it works, haha
