Description New Ref

Finally finished this adorable fluff ball! Also, I know bytes don't have much to do with electric, I just really liked the name. And I know, this is my last Paw Patrol OC, I promise.

To be honest, I'm really pleased with him and I like him an awful lot. I'll probably be writing and drawing him for a bit.

Back story:
Byte was introduced to a home as a puppy and grew up with kids, always playing, protecting them if he sensed danger, and being a feel-good dog. He knew the family was planning on moving because of all the boxes and packing up. On the last night at that home, Byte curled up with the youngest child, and when he awoke, he found she was gone. He went around the house to find that everyone had gone, except him. Not wanting to leave his family alone, he went out his doggy door and darted down the street, looking for any sign of them.
Time had passed, and he had trekked through the woods, losing his collar in the process. When he had finally gotten to a town, his fur was matted and grey and he was just about starved. When he was approached by humans, he was warm and open, glad someone would help him. He was surprised when he got a wire around his neck held by a pole. He was dragged to a truck and put in a small cage, which he resented. As soon as the door was closed, he panicked, and his worry only deepened as they started moving. He whimpered, paced in the little room he had, and clawed all he could at the door. He felt like he couldn't breathe, the walls were closing in on him, and he thought at that point in his life, he would actually die.
When they stopped and he could hear the keys opening the door, he didn't hesitate to burst the door open and take off. He ran and ran until his panic had eased enough to the point where he felt okay. At that point, he found himself in Adventure Bay. He was too tired to continue, so he laid down on some grass to fall asleep, and found himself starting to accept that he had been abandoned.
When he awoke, he knew what his next step was: survival, and that meant food. He trekked along the road until he came across some wind turbines. Never seeing one before, he decided to take a closer look. At one of the poles, he picked his paw at a panel until it fell off. Inside, he noticed quite a few wires. Curiosity sparked him as he reached his paw in and attempted to move the wires out of the way in order to see. Unexpectedly, due to his bit of tugging, the few wires broke and with a little zap, he was thrown backwards and was in a bit of a daze.
When his head had cleared and he was able to get back to his feet, he heard sirens and turned to see people pulling up. A little hint of surprise hit him when he saw a young boy, a German shepherd, and a grey mutt come towards him. Judging by their talking, Byte immediately apologized for the ruckus and claimed he would fix it. Before another word could be said, he went back to the wires, and while the grey mix tried to get him away, he shook his head, claiming since he broke it, he could fix it. The German shepherd got him to stay back and let the mix do his job. Byte could tell he hadn't done work like this before and tried to instruct him on how it looked before he broke it, being a backseat repair dog.
After everything was fixed and introductions were given, Chase offered to take Byte home, but Byte told them he didn't know where that was. Figuring they could find his owners, they decided to take him back to the Lookout. Along the way, Chase mentioned how he could use a bath and the group stopped by Katie's. Katie agreed to wash him up and groom his fur so he was nice and fluffy. He found the warm bath rather welcoming and the comb brushing through filthy fur pleasant. As he was being groomed, he couldn't help but to lay his head down, and slowly drift off.
Chase came by later to bring him back to the Lookout and seemed surprised that his fur was actually white and not the dingy grey they found him like. Back at the Lookout, Byte met everyone, including the newest arrival, Rubble, whom was still a little puppy. He was offered a place to sleep inside, and he took it. After having dinner, he lied down get some rest after the day he'd had.
Days had passed and no one seemed to know where he came from, when Ryder asked him what happened and Byte told about his family who had left, Ryder decided to take him in. Due to his interest in how electric appliances worked, he made Byte the electric pup, but claimed he would need a bit of training before going to work.
When he was first introduced to his pup house, he was rather scared and often slept outside or made up an excuse not to be in the small area. This went on for awhile until Ryder figured out about Bytes claustrophobia and put windows in his pup house to help him feel like he wasn't closed in. He was still a little scared, but it helped him a lot.
In the end, he grew a bond with his new friends, and while he still hoped to one day stumble across his family, for the time being, he was happy.
