Description Ah Renate!    You cannot call von Richter "the housekeeper", but it's okay to call Renate "the housekeeper's daughter" - she insists. She moved in along with her mother and felt a bit guilty, and so works hard to keep up maintenance and do odd jobs all around the place. The Standartenführer totally adopted her and over time she's lost her fear of him. Living there has its advantages - there's more than enough books to read, The Dog gets along with her fabulously, and the dumb boys at school have stopped bothering her - she's come to like it. The Standartenführer new subordinate irritates her and she simply cannot see why Nikolai speaks so highly of this arrogant, fanatical dandy. Oh well XD She likes being able to talk to someone a little more mature and he just savors her insight & genuine human conversation.

So, either I got too lazy to draw actual braids, or she's been working hard enough to really mess 'em up.

Different things come more easily to some I suppose. It's the softer, roundedness of the feminine form - I'm more inclined to angles and harsh ones at that. It is perhaps, no accident then the the only woman I drew for a very long time should look so masculine.

Trying to pull that off, without getting too far into the stereotypical trope of the innocent but naive young female character. At least, getting rid of the naivete

If you rub on or mess with braids enough, they do actually end up looking similar! XD I actually just had to fix mine, because it was frizzy, and starting to fail

Oh! I am relieved to hear that! Not that your hair was getting frizzy, but that they do kind of look like that sometimes
