I'm not someone that 'protects' other M.

But it's pretty understandable that it gives her more character, Everyone had their fear moments and I don't think even Samus can be badass 24/7.

Though, making her ridiciously weak that she can be literally backstabbed is kind of a derp.

im not denying that samus was given chrater ur right i personly thin how it was done was bad the freakout from ridly just seemout of place cuz were they put other m in the timeline after super metroid, wich in case u didnt know is near the end just b4 fusion. i think if they put it near the begining of the timeline it would b more understandable like after metroid zero mission 

but thats just me

If I wrote the freakout scene, Samus would lash out at Ridley and act like Luke Skywalker in the climax of Return of the Jedi, but without Palpatine.

She would basically try to kill Rids, maybe even scream stuff like "DIE YOU F**KING B*TCH!" or "I'M GONNA F**KING KILL YOU!"

agreed thats what we all expected to happen had the perfect set up and everything and then they broke the ball 

other m could have been great, had amazing visuals played amazing just the story and diolge sucked not to mension this is supost to be the "true" samus theat we all know

not guna lie i beat metroid other m 100% in 3 day 12 hours in game time thats bad,

i do like the gameplay(wen adam isnt hoggin everything at the volcano) the greaphics are prett cool to

It's complicated.
In the original NES, depending on how fast you finished it, Samus would take either her helmet off or the entire suit, looking like this:

As you can see, while a light brunette instead of a blonde, she's still a normal looking woman.

Looking with light purple skin and bright green hair. Completely different to how she looked in the ending.

My personal guess is that since the NES had a very limited color palette of how many colors it could display on screen at once, they had to choose a color set that matched most of the scenery so it wouldn't require to change the game's look completely.
