*Here it is! My first art and SA style done with my new Wacom Bamboo tablet
it's been hard learning how to use it properly, and i have to tell ya... its more comfortable and fast drawing with a tablet than using a mouse... totally, recommended inversion.I'm so happy i could finish my art, maybe there's a few mistakes but i'm very happy with this, i've improved my SA a lot, and Reef's desing.
She's using new clothes that suits her better, and her proportions are the finest, she can stand side to side with the original SEGA characters and be proportional.
I'm really proud and relieved. I can rest in peace with her, now i HAVE to do some new art, complete a few debts*

Name: Reef the Otter.
Age: same as Sonic (16?)
Home Location: Atlantis, undersea city.
Appearance: Sky blue fur with deep blue details. White clothes with orichalcum bracelets that resembles her ancestors from her culture. White boots with a clear crystal ball that spins at a high speed boosting her swimming. A jewel on her chest the mark of the Water Servant, Guardian of Chaos dimension.
Likes: Milk, Nature, Silence.
Dislikes: Eels, Contamination.
Sonic Team Friends: Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat, Knuckles the Echidna.
Music Theme: "The Worlds Forgotten, the Worlds Forbidden" Sonata Arctica.
From a distant time, from a forgotten world...
She's an otter from the Ancient City of Atlantis, a whole civilization under the seas of Mobius (Chaos dimension). She was just a soldier for her people, but lonely as if she was living alone.
"Your future... is another" (Tikal the Echidna)
The day that Chaos attacked the Knuckles Clan on land, Tikal trusted her powers to Reef and teleported her to the future. Now, she has to encounter herself again, in a new world that she never met... the surface.

very good job with this I guess you fully understood the SA style tutorial the one about silver If you've used that one how'd you figure out the last part with the dark gray color putting it between the highlight and flat color and setting it to color burn? or did you use another process? great job though

It's about time I got around to critiquing this
Okay, first off, there's definitely improvement here. A quick flick back through your gallery is quite the eye opener c:
The pose is fantastic, and the new clothing really does suit her, especially the gem in her chest. You've also got the head/body size a lot more in proportion.
(The tablet really does help, doesn't it? How did you find getting used to drawing with it?)
The next few things are a bit nit picky. x3
Firstly, the lowlight (the darker shading on the tail) cuts out strangely. It should be a bit more curved into the bottom of the tail, especially since the tail is supposed to look sleek and smooth. Also the ears look strangely sized and placed - the one closest to us looks a little undersized and almost placed in as an after thought like you'd forgotten it, but the one seen further away looks bigger. The fists are also a bit oddly shaped, but hands are horrid to get right xD
I'm curious too - how does Reef's skirt look when she's standing still, and does it go over or under her tail?
Other then that, fantastic work. It's great to see art from you again.

Hiii
Anyway, i like what you criticed, is good to hear about my art from another artist because every time i see what i did i believe it looks fine... but what you said is so TRUE! I'm fine with the tail shadow, but the tail has to finish under the skirt; the closest ear its in the right position, because she's an otter ear has to be very separated from each other but the closes is undersized. About the hands they are fine like this, i've used a model first (because hands are x_x!) maybe adding more shadows would help but "SA Style" has a few shadows and the simplest ones.
I'll try to fix the skirt and the ear soon

Realmente se nota el cambio en el estilo, le queda bastante bien.
Aunque también me gustaba el diseño anterior.
En fin, un excelente trabajo. Algún día compraré una tablet y veré como me las arreglo para usarla
