DAYUM SON, an upload on the first day of the month (in Australia)?!This one...
THIS ONE.
Underwent quite a few changes. At one point it was a Dragon Quest clone art - until I wanted to eat more time to make it better - which meant redrawing everything.
A first of 3 completed attempts to draw a Gameboy box art.
I consider this more so a 'light reboot' of an existing concept art for a certain fire lizard. Actually... Blue Dragonite sounded better in my head then...
I bet Cobi played this back in Goldenrod City train rides.

(Funny that was mentioned! Before the whole redrawing process, the main character was actually a Feraligator! I kept the colours in because blue as a colour stood out the most. I will say though, that from a distance, it does look like a Charizard π)

I'm sure there'll be a nasty difficulty spike the momment the protagonist evolves into a dragonite, because that's when the protagonists will actually be able to wield a sword :V
The end result is awesome, to be honest, I'd totally buy any box that has this pic stamped on it xD and then I'd be very, very disappointed after remembering this game doesn't exist... yet xD

I initially wanted to have the difficulty jump right up the start, and have the Dratini fight in a icy climate.
