Appearance: A chunky and front-heavy, but a very lean-legged girl, Mielikki has a big head and a coarse, thick mane that usually falls over her eyes. Her horn is curved and sturdy. No feathering, except maybe in the winter-time when she grows a thicker fur all over. A fast trot but rather pacey canter and gallop.

Mielikki has the ability to get excited and passionate about nearly anything, and for a Mountain herd horse she is rather outgoing. She is a very keen student of old horses' stories, and likes to put all her learning to use. She remembers thing easily and likes learning and exploring, often feeling rather cofident in her skills even without the support of the herd constantly at her side. She would gladly see others reaching their goals as well.
Sometimes the feeling of strength and curiosity translates to endless imagining and daydreaming, and despite her lively personality, Mielikki needs her own space and time. Also, she can be very lazy on those days she doesn't feel like prancing around, and moves like a tick in tar. Her escapism is sometimes an excuse and sometimes a cause for her laziness. Most of what Mielikki does or decides is somehow tied to herself and her own needs, feelings and wants. She might not be selfish, per se, but she needs to enjoy what she does. It can sometimes lead to her taking insults and challenges a bit too seriously.

History: Born to a mother of the mountains and a father of the plains, Mielikki has very fuzzy memories of his true father. The stallion had a few mares already and didn't actually visit Mielikki and her mother at all, leaving the young mare and their filly to fend for themselves in the other herd. Later Mielikki's mother found a local stallion to be her mate, and by that time Mielikki's new twin siblings took most of her spoiled status as her mother's only foal. It didn't bother her that much, and taught some humility. She was already a wandering spirit at the time, and happy enough to be making new acquaintances.
