I know that feeling, when i started Digital art it was a kind mix between traditional and digital,i was into scanning my pencil lineart and then trying to clean it in the first time with Photoshop or Gimp,and then use some coloring using layers in photoshop...there is no secret you should work a lot to get better, i hope it will help you a little .

I do that too sometimes.
I can hardly draw into a Photoshop document in class, so i'll draw it in my sketchbook then scan it into my laptop. I will admit that i'll trace my own work into photoshop mainly because it's easier
