Description
Okay, so, the way I shade my vexels is just picking a color palette and start shading according to the lightning of the picture but if you're a started and get a little bit lost between colors, shadows, etcetera, you can use the posterize method which is very simple, go to the layer where your picture is and go to Image> Adjustments> Posterize and then choose a level and you'll see how the colors of your image will be "divided", pick the number in which you think you'll work better and use those color divisions as guidelines for your shadings. You'll gain more experience and practice and you'll end up doing all the shading without the posterization.
Hope this helps.
