Yup here is a picture of my finished soldier cosplay i wore this halloween
I'm gonna post plenty more pictures this is just the first one i nabbed. I finally got this thing whipped together :Iconfyuvix: made me a spot on coat last minute meanwhile i whipped her up a bunch of stuff for her pyro costume, [link] . All in all it was a good year Soldier/tf2 (c) Valve

My friend and I made it. we used a modified trench coat pattern.

I didn't make the coat XD My friend did. Basically we took a double breasted trench-coat pattern and just changed a few steps like the collar and didn't add a belt or belt loops and didn't cut button holes. OH and added the shoulder epaulets. And the patches i ordered from here [link]

I'm planning a Soldier cosplay, though- Could you give me some tips about the Rocket launcher? I was planning on using PVC pipes for the main barrel, but I'm not too sure about the rest of it >.>;

I was planning on going as a red soldier myself for a local comicon in a month. I'm curious, how did you do the red jacket and shoulder patches? I'm having a hard time with those two things.

Oh no they have a patch printer, it embroiders for you [link] that's the close up you can note them about it if you like, they would probably make more if ya ask.

lol there are other ways of doing it, using cardboard ive even seen duct tape. Mines is just REALLY sturdy I can take it in the rain i can let it fall. The only tool i used was a dremel I went through alot of blades ;_;

Woah! Well, Taking it out in rain is always a big +! I mean, it's nice to get a bit 'angsty' (or how I should say that ._.) Photoshoots of the character you are cosplaying. I remember so well that photoshoot when I was cosplaying as Xigbar, all my make up just vanished in the rain. xDD It wasn't cool.

lol that's why i was against card board, although the silver plate on the side IS cardboard its one of those thick ass poster tubes the thing was like cutting through a rock! it broke 3 of my blades ;_;

Woah. O_O cardboard can be a really strong material to do stuff from. But I have been thinking, that maybe of foam I could as well do that rocket launcher... But Then all of the sudden I didn't think about that, when I'm going to spray it to the right colour, it will probably fret it. ._.
