Description Inspired by the thriller novel "The Door to December" by Dean Koontz (one of my favorites in the not-too-serious sort of thriller story tellers - Dean Koontz is a fun read - go find one of his books if you haven't already and read it. The Door to December is my favorite - alongside the first book I read from him titled Midnight )

This is great! I love Dean Koontz!

You should do one of the Twilight Children, or whichever it was.

Somehow it makes me remember of Silent Hill's The Room, it would scare me so much if the door in it would have a scaring face like this...

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

oibyrd In reply to Bleeding-Dragon [2007-07-28 20:56:16 +0000 UTC]

it would scare me too luckily I have no faces on my doors not yet anyway.

a friend of mine told stories of her old place being haunted - seeing that sort of thing on the walls and doors ! I'm just glad I never saw her old house LOL!

At my Mom's workplace, her colleagues sometimes see the doors abnormally open ( = so wide it couldn't be caused by the wind) by nobody, and hear footsteps where nobody is... I'm glad I didn't witnessed that kind of thing!

kewl I also like the frightening appeal without the use of gore, more of a psychological approach cheerz

oibyrd In reply to theGFXedge [2007-07-28 20:57:02 +0000 UTC]

I'm so glad you think so that really is the epitome of Dean Koontz - over-the-top mindful fear - without the blood and bodyparts

Awesome job. the brush strokes look like the texture of muscle. very eerie pic with some very well chosen colours. nicely done

Dean Koontz has some great reads! I've read Seize the Night and Fear Nothing. they were pretty damn good.

Fear Nothing rocked - the book that inspired this piece would probably be an enjoyable read for ya if you appreciate the mindful horrors. I had nightmares for weeks after finishing it LOL.
