I'm not gonna say anything on the robot, because I can't draw robots to save my cat from a fiery death and crocodiles. At. the. Same. Time.
Buuuuttt the boy! That I can do!

The Lines
-Initially, your lines seem hesitant and much too regulated and thick (ex. they have the same thickness all the way through). If you look at my Nicodeamus headshot, you'll see that the lines are thin and taper to an end.
-To fix this, instead of going slow with your linearting strokes, go fast! Don't be afraid of mistakes or overlapping the lines. That's where Ctrl + Z and the Eraser become your friend :3
-The lines on the eyes should be thicker than lines everywhere else. And the lines on the hair should be thinner than anywhere else. That's all really on that matter

Anatomy
This is actually quite good :3 Nothing to suggest here besides the fact that the ear could be lowered just a tinge.

Hair
-Okay, this is where I see the most problems. Hair is made up of multiple strands which clump together to make bigger strands. Here, you have portrayed the hair being one big mass of. Well, hair. Use shading and extra lines to show that they hair IS made up of multiple clumps of strands.
-I really don't have any examples, seeing as my Nico picture made the same mistake...Sorry
-Elaborating on that other comment, hair all comes from a single area. In a female, it comes from a long part down the scalp, but in a male, the part is a circle, where all the hair originates from. Instead of having each hair originate from the hair which was previously drawn, keep making lines from that one original part. It will make it seem more natural and realistic :3
-Once again, don't be afraid to overlap lines. Just erase them when they are done


Shading
-Your shading seems...kinda flat and fake. Blending is good, but TOO much blending can make it seem too generated. I see that it's quite obvious that you shade with the airbrush tool and in black and white, non? Don't do that. It dulls the picture down MAJORLY! Instead, use a separate shading colour for each new colour. For example, use browns for the hair, dusky maroon for the jacket, light brown for the skin, etc. Don't EVER shade the whole picture with one colour.
- Secondly, don't shade with the airbrush tool. Unless you are doing perfect realism, abstract, fur or lineless art. Instead, make hard cell shading, and then blend GENTLY where the shading should be softer. Usually the shading is harder (where you should not blend) around small areas like the hair strands, and softer (where you should blend) around places like the cheeks and the eyes.
-Shading clothing is hard, because you have to know the folds of the clothing. I really don't have any advice for this besides hang clothing from your overhead fan. That's what I do XD
-Last thing about shading/lighting. Choose your light source. I can't tell whether your light is coming from in front of him or above. You must choose that source and stick to it! Never alter a picture for a light source!

Aaand, that's all I can think of at one in the morning XD
