I thought of a little incident when I was awake last night without my stuff. Nijima teams up with Lusamine and they kidnap Gladion. So Ash, Cilan, Iris, Dawn and Lillie find Ryuji and tell him what's happened. Ryuji agrees to team up with the group and they go to try and find Gladion. When they do Ryuji takes Gladion - unconscious - from Nijima's clutches and defeats the latter. And then he heals Gladion.
