One hot morning, as Skarloey picked up his passengers from the new Little Lakeside Station, there was a passenger on the platform looking a bit disheveled. "Are you alright?" ask Skarloey. "No," panted the passenger. "I shouldn't have worn dark clothes on a summer day, and there's not a drink stand in sight. Not even the Refreshment Coach." "I'll see if the Guard has any cold drinks for you, sir." said the driver. Sure enough, the guard kept a cooler with him in the brakevan, and offered a drink to the passenger. The passenger thanked Skarloey's crew, and even tipped them for their generosity. He clambered on board, pop in hand, and they were soon off to Ben Glas village, often affectionately called Little Waterton.
