Description The famous River Tiber flows through the heart of Rome, dividing up the 7 Hills, upon which Rome grew. We climbed all 7 and an extra couple that the Romans had forgotten about.

Hi Daniel - Roma was very, very busy and noisy with tourists and traffic, but away from the main sites I enjoyed the narrow streets and little cafes. Much the same for Florence and Venice, with Venice coming top (just) for attractions, ambience, fun, food and NO traffic. We're already thinking of going back!

Cheers

eheheh yes David, Roma is very busy in every day of the year!
The neighborhoods of the old town are always the most beautiful to visit in Italy.
You back to back hundreds of years.

Good point, Daniel. We in Europe often do not appreciate the antiquity of our towns and cities, but in Roma everywhere behind the main thoroughfares is old the the beginning of our present history.

Many Thanks

Yes, the past (given the current technology) is always nice to be admired in the city.

Beautiful fluffy sky really adds to this image . My 'minds eye ' wants to straighten this slightly anti-clockwise - Why?? The things that should be horizontal are !!

Absolutely correct re straightening - it doesn't make sense. It must be the curves that give an optical illusion.

Thanks Richard

Glad you like it, Alexander - funny to think that this river overflows those walls at the side!

I loove the blue sky here, it goes very well with the multiple colors of the building and river below it

Absolutely correct - the whole area looks like this in sunny weather - beautiful, but very busy - like Casablanca.
