the architecture in the background reminds me of wind waker meets legends of the hidden temple. and the atmosphere reminds me of that level from mario 64 where you went to a cave at the very peak of the mountain and fought an angry caterpillar in a fedora. i think it was little-big world. anyway, the color and the shafts of light just put me in mind of it!

GIMP? That is a pain to dl, but if you don't have PS it's great. I just download the PS trial until I can get the full version one way...or another way...

This is the right direction, but the platforms are almost too uniform in height, which could work or not work depending on the puzzle.
