I was looking back at Size of the Berry and was curious, did you have all 9 volumes planned out in some form or other when you started or did it the project just keep growing and growing?

it just kept growing and growing. After i finished each chapter, i started thinking about where the story would pick up again.

I think it's very cool how it has evolved. I remember going into Size of a Blueberry thinking that the characters would be the basis for several comics of various themes, and blueberries were their first adventure, but as that story came to a close with such a final fate for most of it's characters, it was clear your imagination is better than mineΒ
I also like how Size and Apocalyptic are similar in tone and characters, where this is just a very interesting departure into something a bit more advanced. It's great that you were able to weave this story they way you have, and I am looking forward to the final chapter.Β

One thing I'd love to see is some kind of epilogue for each of the 3 part series. Like what happened after Size of and Apocalyptic.

I could agree with this for Apocalyptic, because obviously that's a long gap between it and Blue Planet (sort of. Technically they start very close to each other before the hypersleep part) but I don't think one is needed for Size, since Apocalyptic kind of tells you everything you need to know.Β
in either case, I think okay has done some excellent story telling here, kind of elevating above the usual trappings of this particular genre, and whatever story he wants to tell is the one I want to read.Β

Yeah it all comes down to how part 3 of Blue Planet goes, I hope their is a flash back to Plan B or whatever caused the world to turn into blueberries overnight.

I know the clear sci-fi influence here is the original Planet of the Apes, but I am getting super Prometheus vibes, at least in terms of these scientists getting themselves in WAY over their heads (and in the case of two of the three that we have now transformed, drank freely of things they should have known better than to)Β
I love it. Its great work, and ugh, I want more.Β
