Dude, this is adorable, relax. While I appreciate honest critiques, I would hesitate in saying her torso is too long. She is obviously meant to be a cartoon - in order to make her fun and interesting, playing with/distorting anatomy is key. In fact, I'd say don't be afraid to push it farther. I don't exactly feel qualified to give you advice (I really look up to your work), but given your typically more naturalistic style, I think you could have a lot of fun breaking loose and going really crazy with this idea. Stretch it farther, don't worry if it doesn't "work" - I believe in the end, the best drawings are the ones with feeling.

I love the retro pic. It reminds me of the images from the 1960's. I love the color and pose. The face is very cute.

Why apologize? It's good to mess around sometimes, and not everything's going to be a masterpiece. This is a fun doodle. ^^
Has a sort of classic anime feel to it . . . I'm thinking Astro Boy. Love her crazy-huge hair (aw, her poor neck). And her wacky impractical outfit. I don't have much in the way of crits, since anything I can come up with is more a function of the style than anything.

...i guess id say that the question you gotta ask yourself with pieces outside of your unconsciously-determined style is 'what part of this content requires this style shift? is there a better way to achieve this?'

beyond that the torso's too long and has too many folds, but hey, kudos to you for your ovaries!

Aw man, you're right. I didn't notice the over-long torso--I added some extra folds to make a lobstery sort of look, but it lengthened the torso too much. :/ Thanks for noticing that!
And nah, I slept on it and I'm just going to keep it in scraps. :3 Not the most successful experiment ever, but not something to be ashamed of.
