The air was crisp as the older male lifted his eyes up to stare at the moon, its comforting light bathing everything around it in a soft white glow. It had been more than two years since Carter had left his pack... no his family behind, to start a journey many males took in their lives. Except he had not left alone. A sigh escaped the fae behind him which made him give an annoyed flick of his ear. She must not know what tonight was, or perhaps had forgotten how much it meant to him. "Hey." he whispered softly, his eyes still trained on the moon above. "Tell mom I love her... and that i miss you guys... i miss you all so much... i am doing fine... we are doing fine." he added, glancing back at Reilly who thankfully was not paying attention or listening to his pointless rambling. A moment passed before his gaze flickered back up happiness in their depths. "Happy birthday dad" Carter said, louder than the words before. I love you...
