I was commissioned to make a custom of Rainbow Dash in a Texas A&M Aggie Corps uniform. She started life as an Apple Jack and was airbrushed RD blue. All the sculpted bits are made from Apoxie Clay. She's been painted with acrylics and sealed. I took the opportunity to rehair her in show accurate RD hair colors. All the hair is nylon from dollyhair.co,

Most of my ponies are airbrushed. The only parts airbrushed on this one are the Rainbow Dash blue parts. The others where painted with a brush. I just thinned out my paints with water, and painted in very thin layers.

oh one more ? how many layers do you put on (for the hand painting)?

It just depends. However many it takes for it to start looking good. White and yellow are two of the hardest colors to work with.
