I took a browse through your gallery and really like your work! Can definitely see the Giger inspiration, but you have also made it your own!

Thanks for the fav BTW!

Woohw I am totally perplexed. I am quite sure you made a visualisation here. Thinking of some strong symbols like the sucker-tentacles, a very odd thing, I found on some middle age paintings lately, as well. You pictured some difficult to control instinkts, even hard to describe. The whole artwork could be a relievo in some material, which nature sometimes shows accidentally, maybe a fossil. The bird - being on the right is surly some human desire, a human able to fly. Everything in this is truely a very dark view 'behind the scenes'. ItΒ΄s about being captured in some space, maybe inescapable. Everybody has to play a role, because of strange forces and not because the individual wants to, in a limited way perhaps, but ...yeah a really dark 'summary'.

Thank you very much for commenting. The painting was originally intended to show the four basic elements of earth, air, fire and water, but during the design process it changed into something darker and more obscure. You are right in comparing it to paintings of the middle ages as I got that sense when it finalized itself. The flying creature to the right vaguely reminded me of surreal figures from Bosch paintings.
In the end it took on a life of it's own and I felt like I was just along for the ride, but a very enjoyable ride.

You have a good way of reading visual images and attempting to understand what you are looking at. In some ways I think you understand it more than I do. Thanks again!!

Agree the flying creep bosch like, I was thinking of egypt hieroglyphs.
fav.me/d7zizdj posted this earlier this year, there are some of those plates around that church. ItΒ΄s just kind of mysteriuos symbols. Maybe itΒ΄s just some decorative trunks, nevermind.

YouΒ΄re very welcome. Keep riding.
