I've been feeling abit edgy lately because I haven't been able to draw properly for a few days, does it show?The Kanji in the background means "Endurance- to persevere against great odds and suffering", figured it worked fairly well with the Arlong story for both of them.
I CRY EVERY TIME AT THAT BACKSTORY EIICHIRO YOU GIT.
Oh well, funny will return soon! Don't worry! Just wanted to play around with water effects and junk really.

The Arlong arc is one of my favorite parts of One Piece! Sanji was in pretty deep (no pun intended... or was it?) fighting Kuroobi, but once his chivalry was insulted, he knew he had to hang in there and kick his scaly ass!
You also captured Nami's sadness perfectly here! I can really see the eight years of pain and misery finally getting the better of her! Every time I see the part where she swallows her pride and begs Luffy to help her, I get pumped, because you KNOW that the crap is about to hit the fan for Arlong and his crew!

personally i think it doesn't show very promptly that you are having a hard time drawing except for sanji's pose. It seems a little off to me.
But other than that, I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!

Wow. This is stunning. I absolutely love this. The blood on Namis sholdier, Bothe their expretions, Namis pose, this is seriously a wonderfull piece of work, ad the emotions rool off the page.
I feel a bit guilty pointing out that Sanji's neck is a little long. >.<

Otherwise, thanks! I know Sanji's neck looks sort of long but trust me, he's just had his head walloped by a karate-using merman, it's fairly long and skinny in the initial drawings anyway, and it's at an angle where it would be accentuated. Sorry, I tired my best

I cry at Nami's backstory all the time, too. xD No matter how many times i watch it over. For some reason i especially can't look at the scene were she's stabbing her tattoo. @_@;
