Description Exchange Alien - Christmas Special

Yes, it's true: I finally uploaded something! Actually, I have a new strip I'm working on, but I just couldn't bring myself to colour it in the last few weeks. But in the case of this picture, I really wanted to finish it before I left for my usual Christmas travels, so there.

Imagine this as a sort of group photo at a Christmas feast, in the form of a greeting card to all my watchers and regular readers of Exchange Alien. I appreciate all your feedback and reactions to my work, it really makes drawing EA worthwhile. It's a simple pencil drawing this time, for the fans of the classic look, with slight PS modifications.

There are quite a few characters here that I haven't drawn in the comics recently. I made a few modifications to them too - hopefully improvements - because I can't ever be 100% satisfied with the look of some of these guys and gals.

From left, standing: Sergeant Baker, Private Willis (both in dress uniforms - the regular army gear would've looked a bit awkward in this context), the two Diplomats, Pete, Bob, Head, President Dansen, Mr. Wodson, Prof. Mocoton.
From left, sitting: Phil Mocoton, Ms. Vault.

This was a major posture excercise for me, but it was a great experience to do.

Happy Holidays!

I like the politician-handshake, and the alien just casually wondering what the hell that little star is.

Aw, this is nice. The poses do vary, of course, although most are still standing around. That's more natural in this kind of photo though, so it works!

Lol santa hat!

Yeah, it's mainly Ms Vault's and Phil's pose that I had difficulties with. And maybe the handshake between Head and Dansen. But I tried to put in something different in every character's pose.

For instance, Sgt. Baker's "tipsy" expression was completely unintentional: I made an mistake with his left eye, but I figured a drunk-ish look could be achieved there.
