Josh Thomas knew walking into this meeting that he and his crew would be looking at unemployment and he was right as the Board of Education has no jobs in line for September. All summer long has been nothing but tragedy after tragedy after tragedy nonstop. First they lost their school, for some lost their homes, all of Degrassi's staff have lost their jobs and had just found out their beloved boss Louella Hawkins can no longer return to work due to health complications. Many are now losing friends and colleagues as many are or planning to leave for different districts or retiring and even their students, the class of 89' have lost their commencement.....they have lost everything and it's all because of the School Board's penny pinching ways! If they only had the proper funds to hire a true boiler repair company, one that actually had professionals working among them instead of fakes and frauds, Degrassi would still be standing!!! As Josh now sits in the stairwell, he finally releases his emotions. “This is exactly what I had feared.......how on earth will Mary and I be able to keep our house? How on earth will any of us be able to survive on lousy unemployment wage? It's not even close enough to cover everything.......! We're so screwed. God damn it all to hell, we are all so frigging screwed!!!”
