This is my version of an imp for 's drawing assignment, check it out ---> [link]Her name is Yrruc, I think...I like her!? Maybe she's a shaman?! It was something totally different to draw! But it was fun!

uh, i like her, turned out really nice - like her stance and how the lighting effects in her eyes turned out, again a pretty nice piece of work from you, i'd love to color that one

For the stance I used another picture for reference. It's drawn just with pencils (I think) and the lighting effects are just some experiments. I'm not good in lighting effects and shadings but I practise!
Oh, and you really would like to color it!? That would be pretty cool. Please feel free. Should I send the original sized picture to you?

I think that imps are little messy, magic and cheeky creatures so that's why I tried to give her a little devilish look.

That is really amazing. You've got such a talent for character design. All the little details that are usually overlooked... you add them all! And you do it so well that it really gives the character a personality and a story... and you do it with just one picture! I love the little rings on the tail, and all the piercings. And the clothing is simple, yet still expressive.
Oh, and the hair... I LOVE the hair! I could spend a week trying to come up with interesting hair for my characters (and I have) and I still couldn't come up with something as cool as this.

So, THANKS A LOT FOR THIS COMMENT!!! Your opinion as an artist AND a friend of mine is very important for me! Thank you that you say I've got a talent for character design and that I'm a great artist! Maybe your great and cheering up words help me to beat my artblock??!
I whish I could draw more but for that...I really should beat my laziness. And I should stop to give up so fast! I should kick my marshmellow-ass to spend more time for drawings. I should try to become a better artist!

The imps have joined the rest of my ideas in the projects graveyard that is my long term memory. Basically, everything I've ever worked on lives there. I still have ideas for them, but it's been so long and I never could find the style I was looking for.
Oh well...

Well, this was just MY version of an imp because did a drawing assignment some time ago (when he started to create an imp comic): [link]
In German an imp is a 'Kobold', unfortunately I don't know what's in Dutch!?! The crappy dictionary I found in the internet said it's "aarmannetje" but I'm not sure if it's correct (it sounds like our German 'ErdmΓ€nnchen' and this is an animal)
But the comment you wrote in nevershop's journal (assuming it was my journal) is SO nice! I enjoyed reading it and he wrote a nice answer back to you, haha!!!

Well, the word kobold does sound familiar to me. We use it too. Aardmannetje, that is some kind of ugly, nasty behaving .... kabouter. Lol. I have no word for that. That is so unexplainable. 
...I do not exactly remember that comment I posted in ~nevershop 's journal. Gotta look it up first, hahaha! But it sure is ice to read that you enjoyed reading it!

In Dutch you use the word 'Kobold', too!? Hehe, it's so funny to see that so many words in Dutch and German are similar! But Aardmanntje sounds great, too! It sounds a bit like "ErdmΓ€nnchen" but in German it's the name of an animal (a cute one)! HAHA!
