Das war seit Monaten das erste brauchbare Foto, das ich machen konnte. Die zahlreichen Eichhörnchen bei uns im Park haben sich lieber im Schatten oder in den Baumkronen versteckt, während die meisten anderen Vögel sich von mir fern gehalten haben. Tauben machen in der Regel keine derartigen Probleme.

Lag vielleicht an der Hitze. Da wollen selbst die Tiere nicht.
Tauben sind da wirklich sehr unkompliziert. Bei meiner Arbeit haben sich welche im Hof niedergelassen. Sie sind echt frech und man kann sehr nah an die heran, ohne dass die auch nur daran denken wegzufliegen. Hätte ich die Kamera dabei, könnte ich echt unzählige Taubenfotos machen.

After what felt like an eternity of not taking photos, this was one of the very first good shots I got after a long time. Where most squirrels were hiding in the shadows or treetops and other birds would scurry away, this pigeon was more than willing to pose for me. They're really great models if you give them a chance.

Aside from lingering side effects from my hospital visit in July/August this year, my health hasn't been improving, either. To be honest I can't even count how many I've set the alarm clock to around sunrise so I could get out early with my camera only to be stopped by pain and an inability to hold my camera for more than a few seconds at a time. You can probably imagine my frustration about that...

😟Oh Oliver I did not know this I am so very sorry that you are still having health problems. I had forgotten that you were ill sometimes ago. Why aren't you improving? why can't you hold your camera? My heart goes out to you as you are a fine photographer and it would be sad if you couldn't take anymore photos.

Short story? I still don't know why. My main symptoms are muscular weakness, pain and stiffness, as well as greatly reduced stamina and often increased recovery times. The symptoms vary to some degree, but living a 'normal' life is impossible for me right now. And on top of that I still don't have actual proof that something is wrong with my body - or at least nothing that would explain the severity of my condition. I hope that the results of the muscle biopsy that was done in early August will at least point me in the right direction - that is, when they finally arrive.

I am so sorry to hear that Oliver I pray that you do get some results and that it is something that can be helped with medications. I would hate to know you would have so much discomfort in doing what you do best  and that is your photography. Let me know if they find out okay?
