Jaguar Proteus XK 120 C / C-Type ("1955", replica)ADAC Hansa Veteran Rallye 2018
This one's a bit of a mystery. Last year, this car was entered into an event as a 'Jaguar C-Type (1955)'. However, not only was production of the C-Type ceased in 1954, when it was succeeded by the D-Type, but in this year's event the very same car was entered as 'Jaguar Proteus XK 120 C (1955)'. In other words, this is a modern replica of the legendary C-Type, manufactured by Proteus. The engine is an original Jaguar one, however.
What I'm still confused about is the given production year, because it neither matches the original nor the replica (which has been in production since 1982).
In any case, it is still a very, very impressive machine - the engine in particular, with an exhaust note like a lion's roar.
