Thank you! It is, and it depends a lot on where you see them, how you get to approach them, etc.

This was taken in a nearby (very small) forest, where the squirrels are a little more shy towards humans than in the local park, for instance. With a lot of people making a ruckus during the summer, the park squirrels are more used to people (even though most of them don't notice the squirrels at all) and thus less skittish. I find that they are more relaxed in general, so I have more time to take photos of them. In our little forest it is a bit different - not only is there much less light, it's also much harder to get a decent shot before the squirrels run, climb or jump away from you.

But that only makes shots like this one all the more precious.
