I'm a huge Stargate fan. Stargate Universe was a good show but I think it didn't make
it because it was too different than the other series. SG-1 and Atlantis were more family
oriented and had a good bit of humor mixed in. Universe had none of that. It was more
aimed towards adults and had very little humor. Even I was drawn away from it.
It was too different and didn't even seem related to SG-1 and Atlantis in how the story-
line went. I think that if they had kept the same tone as the first two shows that it might
still be on today. SG-1 and Atlantis were much better and drew you in easier because of
how family friendly and humorous they were. Universe was like a completely different
show of its own. Serious and adult oriented.

My biggest problem with SGU was always that it was more romantic than the previous shows. And the backstabbing didn't exactly help. Remove those two, and it could have been a great show...

No. I didn't care for the romance and there was a lot of backstabbing. The lack of humor
made it completely different than the previous 2 shows. That upset me from the beginning.

The basic idea for the characters not to get along, with the lack of humor, were really bad decisions.
IMO, the remake of Battlestar Galactica also suffered from the exact same issues, as opposed to the original series.

ive only seen the remake but i think its good until season 3 i think (cant remember where i stopped watching) when it just got very confusion in terms of where and/or when you where
